coming to Vancouver. The excitement takes place over two jam-packed
days - October 2 and 3 -- at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

trends and feature the latest equipment, services and products from
leading regional, national and global suppliers. The show offers an
extensive educational program conducted by industry experts and geared

Not only does The Canadian Coffee & Tea show feature the industry's best

Here's a taster of the competitions that will showcase Canada's top
talent going for the gold:
The Canadian Barista Championships
The top three finalists from four regional barista competitions come
together at the Canadian National Barista Championship to demonstrate
the art of making the perfect espresso drinks. The eventual winner of
the Canadian National Championship will represent Canada at the 2012
World Barista Championship.
Latte Art Throw Down
Throughout the Canadian Barista Championship, So Nice Barista Series Soy will bring you an informal Latte Art Throw
Down. Each competitor will be asked to make two lattes, one using So Nice
Barista Series and one using milk. $500 will be awarded to the person
with the highest combined milk and soy score.
Canadian Cup Tasters Championship
The Canadian Cup Tasters Championship, sponsored by Transcend, is an
exciting competition, now in its second year at The Coffee and Tea
Show. The winner will be crowned The Canadian Cup Taster Champion and
will walk away with an armload of great prizes as well as the right to
compete at The 2012 World Cup Tasters Championship.
So You Think You Can Be a Tea Sommelier
The Tea Association of Canada is challenging all attendees of The 2011
Coffee & Tea Show to showcase their abilities in a blind tea-tasting
competition. On October 3rd, participants will taste 10 teas and
determine both the country of origin and the tea type. Anyone who
answers all 10 teas correctly will win an honorary one-year membership
at the Tea Association of Canada.
Coffee & Tea Cocktail Competition
Sponsored by Spirits Canada, the Coffee & Tea Cocktail Competition will
take place on October 2, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Vancouver
Convention Centre. A total of six competitors will have the opportunity
to feature their finest cocktail creations, using a base of coffee or
tea, in front of a panel of three expert judges.
