Legendary JOHN MAYALL & HIS BLUESBREAKERS tour Western Canada this November - Tickets on sale Friday, September 4

CALGARY, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Keystone Entertainment Group is thrilled to
present "An Evening with JOHN MAYALL & HIS BLUESBREAKERS" across Western
Canada this November 10-18, 2009. Tickets for all Western Canadian dates go
on-sale Friday, September 4.
John Mayall grew up listening to his father's jazz record collection and
was strongly influenced by such greats as Leadbelly, Albert Ammons, Pinetop
Smith, and Eddie Lang. From the age of 13, with the aid of a neighbour's
piano, borrowed guitars, and second-hand harmonicas, John Mayall has been
self-taught.
By the mid 1950's and early 1960's, John was performing publicly with The
Powerhouse Four, and then, The Blues Syndicate. It was just a few years and
many bandmates later that John met his soulmate in Eric Clapton. It was this
historic union that launched the Bluesbreakers into worldwide legendary
status.
After Clapton and Jack Bruce left the band to form Cream, a succession of
great musicians defined their artistic roots under John's leadership, and he
became as well known for discovering new talent as for his hard-hitting
interpretations of the fierce Chicago-style blues he'd grown up listening to.
As sidemen left to form their own groups, others took their places. Peter
Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood became Fleetwood Mac. Andy Fraser formed
Free, and Mick Taylor joined the Rolling Stones.

Keystone Entertainment Group presents "An Evening with JOHN MAYALL & HIS
BLUESBREAKERS" touring Western Canada (schedule below), November 10 - 18,
2009. Tickets for all performances go on-sale Friday, September 4.
