Legal proceedings by the Chief Electoral Officer under the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities - A guilty plea is entered for an offence committed in Mirabel



    QUEBEC, May 27 /CNW Telbec/ - Marcel Blanchet, Chief Electoral Officer of
Québec, wishes to inform the public that a guilty plea was entered in Mirabel
in a file concerning a violation of the Act respecting elections and
referendums in municipalities (AERM).
    In Mirabel, Ms. Josée Landry, in her capacity as official representative
of Equipe Laberge/Parti Ralliement Mirabel omitted to submit, not later than
April 1, 2008, the party's financial report as stipulated in section 479 of
the AERM.
    On May 15th of this year, Ms. Landry entered a guilty plea concerning the
accusation brought against her. The judge ordered her to pay a fine of $250
plus expenses.
