environment by making an $18,000 donation to the David Suzuki Foundation.
As part of a program that launched in September 2008, Le Château has
teamed up with DSF, the well-respected environmental conservation
organization, to design and sell a chic reusable tote bag exclusively in their
220+ store chain. All the proceeds from the sale of the bags are donated to
the David Suzuki Foundation.
The proceeds of this initiative have so far totaled $18,000, and the
presentation of this cheque was celebrated in Le Château's Montreal Eaton
Centre location yesterday afternoon. Le Château spokesperson Marlene Robillard
as well as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Franco Rocchi were on
hand to personally present David Suzuki Foundation CEO, Peter Robinson with
the donation cheque.
