Laurion Announces Additional Drill Results on the Baktrian and Biaz Grids - Enid-Massey Project

    TORONTO, June 1 /CNW/ - Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSXV: LME) (the
"Corporation") today announced the drill results for holes BI-07-01 on the
Biaz Grid and BA-07-02 on the Baktrian Grid as part of the completed Phase II
diamond drilling program. Results for hole SA-07-01 and part of SA-07-02 on
the Santrap Grid have been previously released (see press release dated
May 15, 2007)

    Biaz Grid:
    ----------
    Phase I Exploration work included ground geophysics to locate an AeroTEM
conductor in preparation for diamond drilling.
    Phase II drilling included one 106m hole on the Biaz Grid. Hole BI-07-01
encountered a complex mixture of hybrid rocks along the regional
granite/gabbro contact. Mineralization consists of many intersections of
disseminated to near massive pyrrhotite and magnetite with lesser amounts
ilmenite and pyrite and minor chalcopyrite. Best assays are shown in Table 1.

    Baktrian Grid:
    --------------
    Phase II drilling on the Baktrian Grid consisted of two diamond drill
holes to follow up two AeroTEM conductors, delineated with ground geophysics.
Hole BA-07-01 (101m) intersected coarse grained gabbro with abundant
disseminated clots of ilmenite and magnetite. BA-07-02 (101m) found similar
magnetite-bearing coarse grained gabbro with weakly to moderately anomalous
copper values. No significant gold, nickel or PGM concentrations were found.

    Laurion's 100% owned Enid-Massey Project covers approximately 99 km2
(612 claim units), and is located approximately 40 km west north west of
Timmins, Ontario, focusing on the relatively unexplored Cote-Enid-Massey Mafic
Intrusive Complex ("CEMMI"). This area contains many as yet untested airborne
conductors showing potential for VMS, Cu-Ni-PGM, and, possibly Au
mineralization. The Corporation plans to continue to systematically explore
this potential with state-of-the-art methods.
