Late model, unused Madill equipment to be sold at unreserved auction in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, BC, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - Next week, almost 700 items - including
a large selection of unused and late model Madill logging equipment - will be
sold to the highest bidders at an unreserved Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers auction
in Prince George, B.C. Among the equipment being sold in the October 9, 2008
auction: feller bunchers, log trucks and trailers, processors, forwarders, log
loaders, skidders, yarders, excavators, trucks, trailers, pickups - and more.
Every item will be sold on auction day, with no minimum bids or reserve
prices. Ritchie Bros. (www.rbauction.com) will conduct the unreserved public
auction at its permanent auction site in Prince George.
"I've never seen such an exceptional lineup of forestry equipment in one
place at one time - and by the end of day on October 9th, everything will be
sold to new owners," said George Willows, Ritchie Bros. Regional Manager. "Our
upcoming auction is a great opportunity for people in the logging,
construction and transportation industries to buy the equipment they need at
the price they are willing to pay. As with every Ritchie Bros. auction, there
will be no minimum bids and no reserve prices on any item being sold - even
the unused and late model gear. If you can't make it to the auction site to
bid in person, you can register to bid in real-time over the internet."
The October 9th Prince George auction features complete dispersals for R
Saunders Contracting Ltd. and Shallow Bay Contracting Ltd., as well as
equipment from more than 140 other consignors. Vancouver Island-based Madill
Equipment filed for bankruptcy protection in early 2008.
