Larry Tanenbaum and Ted Rogers statement regarding the Buffalo Bills game in Toronto

TORONTO, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - Yesterday, the Buffalo Bills issued a statement
expressing interest in expanding their regional footprint into the Ontario
marketplace, including playing a regular season game in Toronto at the Rogers
Centre.
Representatives of the Buffalo Bills have met with a group from Toronto,
headed by Phil Lind of Rogers Communications and Larry Tanenbaum of Kilmer Van
Nostrand to explore this opportunity. The group also includes Ted Rogers, Paul
Godfrey and Dale Lastman of the law firm Goodmans LLP who is advising the
group. While no agreement has been reached, and many approvals would still be
required, the group is optimistic that Toronto could soon share in the NFL
experience.
Rogers and Mr. Tanenbaum have been ardent supporters of football in
Canada for a long time. Rogers has been a sponsor of the Canadian Football
League and the Grey Cup as well as the NFL. Recently, Rogers Media secured the
rights to air Sunday NFL telecasts, and starting this Sunday, the FAN 590 will
broadcast a number of Buffalo Bills games for the remainder of the season.
