MONTREAL, May 26 /CNW Telbec/ - This summer, two groups of five
musicians, aged between 12 and 17 years, will be chosen to create a musical
piece and to record it with professionnal equipment. The activity, La Bande
Sonore, will take place at La Boîte à musique in Montreal, on Ontario East.
Practices will be held 3 days a week for 3 weeks, the equivalent of 9
three-hour sessions. The song will be determined according to the available
instruments in each group and the interests of each musician.
The registration deadline for the 2009 edition is June 20th. Only
available to 10 participants!
The activity will take place from July 6th to 21st, on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays: group A in the morning, from 9:00. to 12:00, and group
B in afternoon, from 13:30 to 16:30. Every candidate must be available for
both groups (A and B). After the registration, the teachers in charge will
assign a group to the musician.
The total cost of the activity is $540, including a professional quality
recording (cd copy). The musician must bring his instrument, except for the
microphone and the drums. (Amplifiers and cables are also provided).
We are happy to announce the first edition of the activity La Bande
Sonore, a professionnal coaching for young musicians. La Bande Sonore is a
group of young contractors proposing musical activities in which young
musicians can invest and discover themselves. Our approach is a new form of
teaching that supervises young people in musical projects, helping taking them
to develop aspects of themselves that will prove helpful for their future.
