L.A. Director Brings Film on Balkan Wars to Toronto



    TORONTO, April 29 /CNW/ - Please join us for a free screening of
Searching for a Storm, American Director Jack Baric's documentary film on the
Balkan wars, this Saturday, May 2, Innis College Town Hall, University of
Toronto, 2 Sussex Ave, at 1:30 p.m. (Northwest corner of St. George and Sussex
Ave, south of St. George subway station.)
    The screening is part of a larger GTA tour from April 30 - May 4.
Director Baric will be available for questions before the screenings and
following them.
    Baric's provocative film explores whether the United Nations was
complicit in the tragedies of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia and
whether they are using their court at The Hague to justify their wartime
policies. The film includes interviews with well-known international policy
makers and human rights activists. Actor Goran Visnjic is also interviewed.
    Canadian screenings will be held in Vancouver, Toronto, Hamilton and
Montreal. International screenings include Chicago, Sydney, Melbourne and
Zagreb.
