Kodak Introduces Products for Professional Labs, Studios and Photographers

New Film, Software and Paper Enhance the Photographic Capture, Management
    and Output Experience

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 31 /CNW/ - At the Photo Marketing Association Show (PMA),
Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) introduced software and products designed to
assist professional photographers, studios and professional labs as they
evolve their businesses and explore new, exciting ways to service their
clients.
"Professional photographers, studios and professional labs continually
seek ways in which they can differentiate themselves and offer premium
products and services to their clients," said Christopher Van Zandt, general
manager and vice president, Professional Output at Eastman Kodak Company. "Our
new offerings, comprising new films, paper and enhanced workflow management
software, enable them to focus on identifying and maximizing their unique
capabilities, which in turn, can help drive more business, both in terms of
quantity and quality."

New offerings announced at PMA include:

    - KODAK PROFESSIONAL ULTRA ENDURA High Definition Paper: Kodak's new
professional paper, with its high gloss, iridescent surface, extends
the ULTRA paper family to include a high-contrast premium
photographic paper designed for commercial applications. The paper
comes in 40" and 50" widths. Optimized for both digital and optical
printing, the paper creates intense blacks, as well as an extended
colour gamut for rich colours and attractive flesh tones. Also,
because the paper is non-back-printed, it maximizes both the
placement and method by which it can be displayed.

    - KODAK PROFESSIONAL Digital Print Production Software (DP2) V. 9.1:
The latest version of DP2, Kodak's market-leading central lab
software, can enable professional labs to continually identify and
incorporate new category offerings through flexible design, and
efficient rendering and producing of any output. Specific
enhancements include bi-directional hot folder interfaces with KODAK
NEXPRESS Printing Solutions; improvements in handling of automatic
adjustments on different image types (colour, b/w, sepia, spot
colour); and the handling of images/order in KODAK PROFESSIONAL Auto-
Retouching Software. These enhancements are available today. Kodak
will introduce additional enhancements to DP2 at the KODAK
PROFESSIONAL Lab Workshop in Rochester, NY, the week of June 23,
        2008.

    - KODAK PROFESSIONAL PORTRA 400-Speed Colour Negative Film: KODAK
PROFESSIONAL PORTRA colour negative film family builds on the
successful introduction of improved PORTRA films in 2006. The finer
grain of the KODAK PROFESSIONAL PORTRA 400NC and 400VC films,
combined with the spectacular skin tone of the entire portfolio,
enables professional photographers to create striking, breathtaking
photographs. Also, with finer grain and an emulsion overcoat
specially designed for scanners, PORTRA 400 films reproduce
beautifully, with either optical or digital output. This enables
photographers to easily incorporate their film images into a digital
        workflow.
