Kodak Canada Announces Arrival of Revolutionary Inkjet Printers
TORONTO, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - Starting today, Canadians can save up to 50 per
cent on everything they print as Kodak Canada Inc. enters the Canadian inkjet
market with a groundbreaking new product line for the home - KODAK EASYSHARE
All-in-One (AiO) Printers.
KODAK EASYSHARE AiO printers enable consumers to print crisp, sharp
documents and KODAK lab-quality photos at home using premium, pigment-based
inks. The new line of printers provides exceptional print quality and
ease-of-use, while offering significant savings on the cost of ink.
"Kodak's revolutionary business model delivers on the number one request
from home printer owners - less-expensive ink cartridges," said Dan MacDonald,
Vice President, Sales, Consumer Digital Imaging Group, Kodak Canada Inc.
"Kodak is committed to addressing this consumer need by offering high quality
ink at a fair price. Finally, consumers can print lab-quality photos and
documents without feeling constrained by the high cost of ink."
The KODAK EASYSHARE AiO printers use Kodak's premium, pigment-based ink,
priced at $11.99 for a cartridge of black ink and $17.99 for a five-ink colour
cartridge (CDN MSRP). When the KODAK Photo Value Pack is purchased, a 4 x
6-inch photo costs as little as 13 cents per print. Kodak's new low-cost ink
cartridges ensure low cost-per-page, as recently confirmed by independent
testing lab Quality Logic, and a Kodak cost-of-printing analysis. The results
revealed that in every case, KODAK EASYSHARE AiO printers gave consumers more
pages for every $5 of ink purchased - a fact that eases the number one concern
for users of home printing products. For more information on the savings,
testing and analysis, visit: www.kodak.ca.
Kodak's revolutionary business model and EASYSHARE AiO printers continue
to be recognized and validated by the industry and consumers, as shown in a
recent study conducted by Ipsos, a leading global survey-based market research
company. The study(1) stated that consumers rank cheaper ink cartridges and
higher-quality digital photos as the No. 1 and No. 2 most desired features and
functionalities of an inkjet printer. "We're proud to be the only inkjet
printer manufacturer that allows consumers to print more, and spend less,"
