Knightsbridge will emerge as Canada's largest privately held human
TORONTO, June 29 /CNW/ - Knightsbridge, Canada's leading integrated human
capital solutions provider, today announced the acquisition of MICA Consulting
Partners, one of Canada's foremost leadership solutions consultancies. MICA's
specialized expertise in strategic alignment, executive assessment, leadership
development, team effectiveness, and succession planning strengthens and
deepens Knightsbridge's already strong leadership solutions practice. The
combined company will also bring increased leverage and market presence in the
leadership solutions marketplace.
"MICA is an important strategic acquisition for Knightsbridge as we build
towards our goal of $100 million in annual revenue," said David Shaw, Founder
and CEO of Knightsbridge. "Their proprietary offerings and intellectual
capital fit perfectly with our existing leadership solutions business and give
us the unique opportunity to expand the scope and depth of the leadership
solutions we can now offer to our client partners."
"For over 35 years, top companies have trusted MICA to improve their
leadership practices," said Catharine Larkin, Owner and President of MICA.
"Joining forces with Knightsbridge will enable us to help more organizations
get the right leaders in the right roles, develop and retain effective leaders
and teams, and help develop a pipeline of emerging talent to ensure our
clients' continued success."
The combined company will be called KnightsbridgeMICA Leadership
Solutions, given the strong presence of the two brands in the marketplace. It
will operate as a brand within the overall Knightsbridge Human Capital
Solutions group of companies. This acquisition will expand Knightsbridge's
team to 300 employees nationally, as MICA's full leadership group, business
consultant team and roster of technical experts, numbering 16, join the
company in July. Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
"This acquisition clearly demonstrates that despite tough economic times,
Knightsbridge is committed to investing in the growth of our business," said
Shaw. "Catharine and I are excited about the opportunity that this acquisition
brings to both companies. Knightsbridge will now have the ability to offer the
broadest and unparalleled range of human capital available in North America to
our clients. Talent development and retention has never been more important."
