THORNHILL, ON, July 11 /CNW/ - Over one hundred children will be learning
the valuable skill of saving a life at the 39th annual CAA's school safety
patroller leadership camp next week.
Over 20 police officers from Toronto, Hamilton, Barrie, Durham region,
Peel, Midland, Orillia, Peterborough, London, Brantford and Brant County, the
Oshawa Fire Department, St. John Ambulance and CAA's Traffic Safety team will
come together to teach the kids important lifesaving skills.
They include geographical navigation, first aid, fire training,
evacuating a school bus, school zone crossing techniques, and team work.
Last year two children from London used their skills to save the life of
a grade one student. This year a Hamilton area child was able to use her bus
