Kids & Company Launches Pioneering Eldercare Program



    Progressive Ontario employers offer assistance to employees with new
    work-life service

    TORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Kids & Company, a leading provider of corporate
child care and other work-life services, will launch a pioneering new
eldercare program in Ontario. The program will officially launch at a
lunchtime Eldercare forum and information session on Tuesday, September 18th.
Eldercare expert Maureen Osis, along with Victoria Sopik, Kids & Company and
Stephanie Myers, First Health Care, will be on-hand to speak about eldercare
trends and how progressive companies are addressing employees need for
assistance as they care for aging parents.

    WHAT:        Starting in the next month, several Kids & Company corporate
                 clients, including RBC, Deloitte and Cassels Brock &
                 Blackwell, will add temporary back-up eldercare to their
                 suite of employee benefits.

                 Victoria Sopik, Maureen Osis and Stephanie Myers will be on-
                 hand at the Toronto Board of Trade to officially launch the
                 program and speak about eldercare trends and how progressive
                 companies are addressing employees need for assistance as
                 they care for aging parents.

                 Delivered in partnership with First Health Care, the
                 eldercare program provides Ontario-based employees from
                 participating companies with access to 24-hour back-up care
                 for aging parents if their regular arrangement falls through
                 or if they find themselves in need of short-term care.
                 Whether they are caring for a parent who has had a stroke,
                 is recovering from an operation or simply needs assistance
                 to live independently at home, the program allows employees
                 to book anywhere from three to 24 hours of high-quality care
                 in the home of their parent, nursing home or hospital.
