Kevin McCort appointed as President and CEO of CARE Canada



    OTTAWA, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - Paul Drager, Chair of CARE Canada's Board of
Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin McCort as President
and Chief Executive Officer of the international humanitarian and development
agency.
    "Over the past 15 years, Kevin has proven his knowledge and his
outstanding ability through his work with CARE Canada," said Drager. "Kevin
has a passion for the work he does and the skills to see his goals come to
fruition. We have full confidence in his talents as the head of one of
Canada's most esteemed international aid organizations."
    McCort joined CARE Canada in 1992 as a food security and emergency
response specialist. He moved successfully through the ranks at CARE Canada,
including Senior Vice-President of International Operations, before
undertaking the position of interim CEO for CARE Canada after the departure of
the former CEO in June 2007.

    CARE Canada is Canada's largest non-religious humanitarian and
development agency and has been established for more than 60 years.
