KAL007 : 25 years later, the victims' families require answers from Canada

    MONTREAL, Aug. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - On September 1st, 1983, the destruction
of flight KAL007, believed to have been shot down by a USSR fighter plane, has
caused the death of 269 persons, 9 of which Canadian.
To this day, no bodies were found.
François Robert de Massy was among the victims of this tragedy. His
brother Philippe feels that neither Canada nor the International Community,
nor the media have done their duty following this tragedy, by refusing to go
to the bottom of things.
Philippe Robert de Massy has written to Prime Minister Stephen Harper to
seek the help of the Canadian government in the quest for truth, notably
concerning what became of the bodies and the personal belongings of the
victims.
The feeling that the authorities have withheld the truth has rendered
very difficult the grieving of the families.
