Significant Online Media Experience from Meredith, iVillage and
Publishers Clearing House
TORONTO, June 13 /CNW/ - Kaboose Inc. (TSX: KAB), the largest independent
family-focused online media company in North America, announced today that it
has strengthened its team with the addition of two industry veterans. Michelle
Shinseki joins the Company as Editor-in-Chief of Kaboose.com and Will Ellison
joins as Director of Marketing, Lead Generation.
Ms. Shinseki has an extensive background in parenting programming and
strong editorial experience gained from key roles at some of the premier
online parenting brands in the media world. Most recently, Michelle spent
close to four years at Meredith Corporation where she served as managing
editor of Parents.com and site director of AmericanBaby.com. Prior thereto,
she worked for seven years in various editorial positions, including editorial
lead for iVillage.com's Lamaze.com and Time Inc.'s Parenting.com. Michelle
will report to Dottie Enrico, Senior Vice-President of Content & Programming,
and will be responsible for developing Kaboose's parenting content, as well as
introducing Kaboose's interactive suite of community and photo tools to a new
generation of Kaboose.com moms.
Mr. Ellison joins Kaboose following an eight-year tenure at Publishers
Clearing House (PCH) where he was most recently Director of Interactive
Marketing. At PCH, Will led the team responsible for online marketing
initiatives, including customer acquisition, retention and email marketing,
site development and cross-channel integration. Mr. Ellison will report to
Kaboose's Chief Revenue Officer, Michael Fogarty. The experience and skill set
Will acquired growing one of the Internet's most established consumer
direct-marketing firms will help Kaboose create new revenue growth
opportunities through direct marketing initiatives to its user base.
