TORONTO, March 13 /CNW/ - Jovian Capital Corporation ("Jovian") (JOV:
TSX) and its wholly-owned subsidiary JovFunds Management Inc. ("JovFunds") are
pleased to announce the successful closing of the CIBC Gartman Global
Allocation Deposit Notes, Series 3 (the "Notes"). This is the third series of
Notes sub-advised by The Gartman Letter, L.C., the publisher of The Gartman
Letter. Its author, Dennis Gartman, is a leading global markets commentator.
"The response and demand for this product from both the advisor and
retail investor communities has been tremendous," said Steve Hawkins, Managing
Partner of JovFunds. "We are delighted to be working with CIBC and Dennis
Gartman on this Note and look forward to bringing other similar products to
the marketplace in the near future."
The performance of the Notes is linked to the Gartman Index(TM), a
proprietary index offering long, short or neutral exposure in various
weightings to any combination of 24 underlying equity, commodity, bond and
currency sub-indices, as selected by Dennis Gartman on a monthly basis. The
Notes are 100% principal protected by CIBC, if held to maturity. The term to
maturity is six years.
"It's been a successful first year managing the CIBC Gartman Global
Allocation Deposit Notes," said Dennis Gartman, author of the Gartman Letter.
"We are extremely pleased not only with the performance of the Gartman Index,
but also with the response of Canadian investors to the Note."
