Johnson placed on DL/Lind re-called



    TORONTO, April 13 /CNW/ - The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have placed OF REED
JOHNSON on the 15-day disabled list with a herniated disc in his lower back.
OF ADAM LIND has been re-called from AAA Syracuse of the International League.
    Johnson, 30, will be placed on the 15-day disabled list retro-active to
April 12. In seven games this season he is hitting .265 with one home run and
seven RBI.
    Lind, 23, appeared in 18 games for Toronto last season, batting .367 with
two home runs and eight RBI. The Muncie, Indiana native has appeared in eight
games this season with Syracuse, posting a .306 average with two home runs and
seven RBI.
