Party convention will showcase candidates, PC plan to put Ontario back on
    track

ETOBICOKE, ON, June 8 /CNW/ - Progressive Conservative Party Leader John
Tory today joined PC candidates and MPPs to lend a hand to Habitat for
Humanity, shortly before kicking off the Party's Countdown '07 convention.
"Building a stronger Ontario means building stronger communities in all
parts of the province," said Tory. "We have a plan and a team of candidates
who are determined to build a better province. It starts with strong
leadership."
Tory joined 11 PC Candidates and Caucus members this morning to help
build Habitat for Humanity homes in Etobicoke. Party members from across
Ontario are meeting in Toronto this weekend for a convention focused on
election readiness and unveiling the plan a John Tory government will
implement to put Ontario back on track.
Tory announced his Party has so far nominated candidates in 82 ridings
around the province, with the remaining candidates expected to be nominated in
the coming weeks.
"I'm extremely proud of the varied and impressive team of candidates our
Party has assembled," said Tory. "This is a new team of people with a wide
variety of experience who are ready to govern. It includes municipal, business
and community leaders who know what it takes to deliver results. I look
forward to hitting the campaign trail and speaking to voters about our plan,
our candidates and why leadership matters."
