John Tory questions Ontario doctors

TORONTO, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - Today John Tory criticized the success that
Ontario doctors and nurses working on the front lines have been able to
accomplish.
From 500,000 more Ontarians having access to family doctors to reducing
wait times, Tory continues to call into question the success of front line
health care professionals.

Let's let the professionals speak for themselves:

"Ontario patients are now experiencing better access to care because
doctors and government have been working hard to improve the system"
        - Dr. David Bach, former President, Ontario Medical Association,
           Press Release, Feb. 27, 2007

"Initiatives and incentives introduced in recent years have been
instrumental in improving the ability of patients to access the medical
expertise of a family doctor."
        - Dr. Janice Willett, President, Ontario Medical Association, Press
           Release, June 21, 2007

"Ontario has moved from being a laggard to being a leader in the field of
wait time management."
        - Ruth Collins-Nakai, President, Canadian Medical Association, New
Models for the New Healthcare, Vol. 7, No. 1, July 2006

"I think we're at the tipping point in solving the family physician
crisis."
        - Dr. John Kelton, Dean of the Michael G. DeGroote School of
Medicine, Hamilton Spectator, Nov. 18, 2005

"Ontario's physicians are more likely to report satisfaction with their
professional lives than in 2005."
        - Medical Post headline, May 8, 2007

When it comes to choosing between John Tory's reckless plan to cut
$3 Billion from health care, or our front line health care professionals, we
choose the doctors and nurses every time.

    Every single time.
