John Molson School of Business Students Successfully Manage Real Life Portfolio

    MONTREAL, June 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Concordia University's John Molson
School of Business will celebrate the 2009 graduating class of the Kenneth
Woods Portfolio Management Program on Thursday, June 11th, 2009. The reception
will be held at Club Sportif MAA, 2070 Peel Street, at 5:30 p.m.
Since 2000, Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program students, "Fund
Managers", have been managing the original $1 million investment. Despite the
challenges in the capital markets in 2008, this year's Fund Managers beat the
benchmark for a fifth consecutive year and the value of the fund currently
stands at $1.3 million.
The Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program was created in 2000 with
the purpose of training a select group of undergraduate students in investment
management. The program was established with an initial investment of $1
million by Kenneth Woods, MBA 75.
