HALIFAX, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - Jazz Air LP (Jazz) announced today that their
Technical Services employees, represented by the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW)
local 2002 have ratified a tentative agreement which was reached on August 30,
2009. The agreement will be in place for a three-year period.
The CAW represents approximately 900 Maintenance and Engineering
employees at Jazz.
"I congratulate all involved in reaching this agreement. This is an
important step for Jazz in the renewal of our 2009 labour contracts," said
Joseph D. Randell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jazz.
On August 28, Jazz also reached a tentative agreement with its Customer
Services and Aircraft Services divisions union which is subject to
ratification; and are also represented by the CAW.
