MONTREAL, Sept. 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Don Tambling, Chairman of the Board of
the Quebec Aerospace Association (AQA), is pleased to announce the appointment
of Jacques Saada as President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization,
effective immediately. Mr. Saada succeeds Marc-André Vaillancourt who has
occupied the position of Director General on a temporary basis since April
2007. He will assist Saada during the transition period.
Mr. Saada is well-known in economic and political circles for having had
the privilege of representing the population of the Brossard-La Prairie riding
in the House of Commons from 1997 to 2006. His parliamentary career included
terms as Minister Responsible for Canada Economic Development and Minister
Responsible for the Francophonie. Mr. Saada was also Minister Responsible for
Democratic Reform, while at the same time assuming the key role of Government
House Leader. His vast experience within various ministries and organizations
dedicated to economic and international development has enabled him to acquire
a unique expertise that, today, he is proud to put to service on behalf of the
members of the AQA.

face match the promises it holds, since rapid changes are defining this
industry, particularly on the international scene. I consider myself

increase its influence and presence", stated Mr. Saada.
The new President and CEO will participate in his first public
association event on Tuesday, September 11, on the occasion of a
dinner-conference with members of the AQA. It will take place at the Ritz
Carlton Hotel in Montreal.

Created in 1997, the Quebec Aerospace Association's mission is to
identify and assess issues related to the aerospace and aeronautical industry,
and respond in the best interests of its members. The AQA pursues three
objectives to fulfill its mission, namely to develop relations with the
province's prime contractors, enhance relations among aerospace SME's in
Quebec, and increase the business representation of Quebec's aerospace SME's.
