Jacques-Cartier Bridge - bike path detour

Closed between Longueuil and Saint Helen's Island on Thursday, April 16

LONGUEUIL, QC, April 15 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain
Bridges Incorporated wishes to inform the public that a section of the
Jacques-Cartier Bridge bike path on the west side of the bridge between
Longueuil and Saint Helen's Island will be closed from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. on
Thursday, April 16.
Due to Monday, April 6's bad weather conditions, the installation of
fiber optic cables must continue this Thursday, April 16.
Detour signage will direct cyclists to use the sidewalk on the east side
of the bridge. Cyclists must take the stairs and pass under the bridge to
reach the sidewalk on the other side. In addition, two flagmen will be on hand
to direct cyclists and help transport their bikes on the stairs.
