Jackson-Triggs continues to collect rave reviews!

Accolades include "Best Canadian Winery" for an unprecedented 17th time!

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - Olympic season or not, continually
capturing accolades and gold medals is the Canadian winemaking team at
Jackson-Triggs Estate Wines. Most recently, they are proud to share that the
Jackson-Triggs Okanagan 2006 Proprietors' Reserve Shiraz has won the title of
"Category Champion" at the Wine Access Value Wine Awards.
This award, recognizing the Shiraz for its exceptional value, comes on
the heels of a huge win for Jackson-Triggs as Best of Nation: Canada 2008 at
the San Francisco International Wine Competition. This is the sixth time the
winery has been crowned the best winery in Canada, and this win now billboards
an astonishing 17 such accolades in similar competitions in the past nine
years.
The 17 "Best Canadian Winery" wins include those from International Wine
& Spirit Competition in London, England; Vinitaly International Wine
Competition in Verona, Italy; the San Francisco International Wine
Competition, the Wine Access Canadian Wine Awards and the All Canadian Wine
Championships. "This is an unprecedented feat for a winery so young," comments
Jackson-Triggs co-founder Allan Jackson. "Recognition of this magnitude is a
key motivator that continues to drive our winemaking teams to excel, vintage
after vintage."
This extraordinary list of honours is a testament not only to the quality
of Jackson-Triggs wines but to the consistency in delivering that quality year
over year. The keys to this success are three-fold: talented winemakers,
quality-driven viticulture programs and ongoing investment into leading edge
technology.
"I feel privileged to be part of such a passionate team, that includes
our exceptional viticultarlist Mark Sheridan in the Okanadgan and Frank
Hellwiig in Niagara" says Brooke Blair, Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estates
winemaker. "Here in BC, my fellow winemaker Derek Kontkanen and I are also
equally proud of our Ontario winemaker Marco Piccoli."
Looking ahead, this global recognition for Jackson-Triggs helps to
reaffirm Canada's place as a major wine producer on the world stage.
