The Wyndham Estate Executive Wine School provides business students with
insight on how to manage business meals
TORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Business executives know how to work the
boardroom, and putter their way around a golf course, but do they know their
way around a wine menu for that all-important business meal?
This week, Tony Hooper, Winemaker, Wyndham Estate is in Canada speaking
with business students at four universities - the University of Toronto, the
University of Ottawa, McGill University and Concordia University - about the
business of wine and the role of wine in business.
Students will take part in a tutored wine tasting, be briefed on the
success of the Australian wine business, and a receive copy of The Wyndham
Estate Executive Wine Guide, a how-to booklet on managing business meals,
including how to order wine.

skills they need to successfully navigate a business meal and feel more
comfortable ordering wine."
The Wyndham Estate Executive Wine Guide provides tips for business people
hosting business meals, including:
- Arrive 15 minutes ahead of your reservation so you can review the
wine list in advance and, if possible, speaker to the sommelier about

- Don't launch into business talk right away. Take advantage of the
social setting to get to know your guest better. You can gain
insights that will be helpful in your business dealings, plus create
a greater rapport;
- Business lunches should last about an hour-and-a-half.
