    Windsor Arms Hotel

TORONTO, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - Reporters out stargazing at the 2008 Toronto
International Film Festival (TIFF) will have the opportunity to take refuge in
today's fully equipped, hi-tech, on-the-go workplace, now playing at the IT
Lounge in the Windsor Arms Hotel.
Grand & Toy, Canada's leading supplier of workplace solutions has created
an environment ideal for those on-the-go, specifically designed for the needs
of accredited media as they cover the sights and sounds of TIFF.
The Grand & Toy Media Centre at the IT Lounge, which offers reporters an
opportunity to kick back and relax in the midst of the hustle-and-bustle of
the festival, will be outfitted with the latest technology, including laptop
computers, wireless Internet, a gaming station and portable plug-ins. In
addition, reporters will enjoy contemporary, environmentally sustainable and
ergonomically-designed furniture that address the needs of a modern, mobile
work culture.
"We are showcasing an evolution of how people are working and the shift
towards the ability to increase collaboration, communication and work within
smaller spaces," said Kevin Edwards, vice president, marketing, Grand & Toy.
"This space is a perfect exhibit of how we learned to optimize our smaller
workspace in response to numerous factors, including high real estate costs,
environmental integrity and technological portability."
This year's Grand & Toy Media Centre offers reporters the opportunity to
experience firsthand workspace, multi-user workstations, individualized and
flexible storage, wireless communication, and digital entertainment that has
become commonplace in our working culture.
Reporters will have the ability to file stories, download and upload
photos, use e-mail and Internet, play video games, and relax with their
colleagues in a setting designed to meet their specific needs and workspaces
comparable to many corporate environments.
"We had a unique challenge to take a small space and create one that is
technologically suitable, elegant, comfortable, and functional, providing a
more human-centered approach to the space," said Edwards. "This is the common
challenge today's businesses face, and this room shows there are solutions out
there to maximize the use of space without compromising."
The Grand & Toy Media Centre at the IT Lounge will be accessible to media
from Sept. 4-10, from 10 am to 6 pm.
