Iraq: French journalist stabbed in Erbil hotel room



    MONTREAL, March 10 /CNW Telbec/ - French journalist Cécile Hennion of the
Paris-based daily Le Monde was stabbed by an intruder in her hotel room in
Erbil, the capital Iraqi Kurdistan, on 8 March and was hospitalised with
injuries to both arms. She was due to return to France today for additional
treatment. The Erbil police chief said her assailant entered her room with the
aim of robbing her. An investigation is under way and several hotel employees
have been detained.
