IPICO clarifies details of initial order to supply vehicle number plate tags

BURLINGTON, ON, Jan. 23 /CNW/ - IPICO Inc. (TSX-V:RFD) wishes to clarify
its recent announcement regarding the receipt of an order for 600,000 UHF RFID
tags for deployment in South Africa (see IPICO press release dated January 14,
2008.)
"IPICO has been asked to clarify that announcement for the reason that it
may imply that the Gauteng Provincial Government was directly involved with
IPICO for that order, which is simply not the case," said Gordon Westwater,
President of IPICO Inc. "On behalf of IPICO and our South African business
partners, I wish to apologize for any such misunderstanding and to confirm
that IPICO has no direct business relationship with the Gauteng Provincial
Government. The initial tag order was received by IPICO directly from its
authorized South African BEE distributor, IPICO Africa (Pty) Limited."

THE TSX VENTURE EXCHANGE DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ADEQUACY
OR THE ACCURACY OF THIS RELEASE.
