Invitation to the media - Portage Recognition ceremony: A new beginning for residents of the Portage program



    MONTREAL, Nov. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - The President of Portage, Mr. Peter A.
Howlett, invites media representatives to the Recognition ceremony in honour
of adults, adolescents, and mothers with children who have successfully
completed various phases of the Portage addiction treatment program.
    The ceremony will be held Sunday, November 4, at Théâtre Maisonneuve de
la Place des Arts, in the presence of the Honourable Pierre Duchesne,
Lieutenant-Governor of Québec, Mr. Peter Vamos, Executive Director of Portage,
and the families of the residents. Portage representatives and graduates will
be available for interviews.

            2:00 p.m. (ceremony)

    Founded in Montréal in 1970, the Portage program is recognized
internationally for its success in the treatment of drug addiction. Portage
offers treatment programs to residents of the province of Québec in centres
located in Montréal, Beaconsfield, Prévost, Québec City, and
Saint-Damien-de-Buckland.
