Investor Education Fund web-site offers investors valuable information, tools and resources

-Independent site helps consumers make informed investment choices-

TORONTO, April 23 /CNW/ - Investor Education Fund, an independent
not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping consumers make informed
investing decisions, has announced the launch of its revamped website at
investorED.ca.
The comprehensive site offers a rich array of information, unique online
tools and resource links that provide every level of investor with unbiased
information that is simple-to-understand and easy-to-find. investorED.ca
answers the questions everyone asks, as well as those they don't know they
need to ask.
"We have written the investorEd.ca website in plain language that's free
of jargon, so that investors can understand the content better and develop
confidence with their finances," explains Investor Education Fund president
Tom Hamza. "Investors can learn important topics such as how compounding works
or the impact that fees have on mutual fund returns. Navigating around
investorED.ca is intuitive so investors can quickly find the information
they're looking for."
investorED.ca helps consumers ask the right questions before making key
financial decisions such as saving for retirement or for a child's education,
buying and selling investments, or managing debt. Some of the most valuable
sections offer information that you won't learn on commercial sites, such as
what you should expect when working with a financial advisor and your
responsibilities as an investor.
Many of the unique online tools that are available at investorED.ca can
only be found at this site. Case study examples show the effects of financial
decisions including how much is needed to retire comfortably. Easy to use
worksheets help consumers quickly create retirement plans and budgets. The
site also links to other great tools from government, media and industry
associations.
"investorED.ca does not sell or recommend any financial products,"
concludes Hamza. "It's a uniquely independent, unbiased resource that's
helping people to make smart and informed decisions about their investments."
