Intrawest and T4G close IT outsourcing deal

Transaction further strengthens T4G's presence in Western Canada

    VANCOUVER, Feb. 19 /CNW/ - T4G Limited, a national full-service,
project-based technology services company, is delighted to announce an
outsourcing partnership with Intrawest ULC, a world leader in the development
and management of experiential destination resorts.
T4G will deliver Intrawest information technology services including
application design and development. As part of the agreement, Intrawest's
development team will join T4G immediately and move into its Vancouver office.
"This is further proof of our commitment to Western Canada and the
vibrant and ever-growing tourism industry there," says T4G president Geoff
Flood. "With this seasoned team in place, we can rapidly respond to both
Intrawest's needs and those of our other valued clients in the tourism and
hospitality sector."
T4G will be responsible for application design and development of
Intrawest's industry-leading reservations system, Rezolution, which processes
consumer bookings through call centres and online. In addition, T4G will
provide support of Intrawest's content management system and corporate
intranet.
"We felt it was in the best interests of our customers and employees to
partner with a firm that can maintain a strong professional development team
to deliver critical business applications," says Doug Feely, Intrawest's Chief
Information Officer. "By combining the core development staff of Intrawest
with T4G's team, we are confident that our output and cost efficiencies will
grow significantly."
T4G's new staff members will also complement the firm's existing
market-leading offerings in this space, including its comprehensive
Destination Marketing System. T4G clients in the tourism and hospitality
industry include Tourism British Columbia, Atlantic Canada Tourism Partners,
New Brunswick Tourism and Parks, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Choice Hotels
Canada.
With the Canadian Tourism Commission predicting continued strong growth
from emerging sources of tourism such as China and Mexico(1), and the 2010
Vancouver Winter Olympics expected to bring record numbers of visitors to
B.C., tourism is set to boom. T4G has already established itself as a
preferred IT services provider of choice in this space, and has received past
recognition from the National Tourism Awards for its efforts.
"We're excited to have this new team of experienced information
technology professionals who are also experts in Canada's booming tourism
sector," says Dennis Brink, T4G's Vice-President of Acquisitions. "You
couldn't ask for a better addition - it's a high-performance team that knows
what they're doing, and who they're doing it for."
