MONTREAL, June 18 /CNW Telbec/ - To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of
the Sainte-Justine Hospital, the FLORA Team has decided to partner with the
Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation. The donations received will help finance
the creation and development of therapeutic gardens to aid children and their
families staying in the Sainte-Justine CHU, offering them an environment of
intimacy, healing and peace of mind.
The garden's creators are delighted to invent and integrate the
"JUSTINE'S BLINK OF AN EYE" concept into their garden, which can be an element
of decoration, an uncommon plant or an "out-of-place" object to attract the
eye of its young visitors.
Children will enjoy finding and identifying these "BLINKS" that, based on
the garden creator's inspiration, will take many forms. Remember that this
year, attendance is free for children 12 years old and under. Through this
philosophy of support for the Sainte-Justine CHU and its Foundation, young
visitors will make discovery after discovery in the course of a magical walk
through FLORA's garden.
International FLORA will install 7 ponds throughout their gardens with
signs inviting the general public to make a wish by throwing coins into the
ponds. These "wish coins" will be gathered and donated to the Sainte-Justine
"We give our warmest thanks to the President of the Board of Directors of
FLORA and his entire Team for offering this present for Sainte-Justine's
100th Anniversary through this wonderful collaboration" says Michel Pauzé,
President of the Sainte-Justine 100th Anniversary. "We are also pleased and
proud to count INTERNATIONAL FLORA among the activities registered on the
Anniversary's Calendar" added Mr. Pauzé.
The general public can participate in the "JUSTINE'S BLINK OF AN EYE"
contest by voting for their favourite "WINK". One family will also have the
chance to win a trip to the Niagara Falls to visit its fabulous gardens and to
take advantage of a multitude of family activities offered in this
world-famous tourist destination.
INTERNATIONAL FLORA/ THE MONTREAL GARDEN FESTIVAL has accepted this
children's cause and invites you to join with us this summer!
INTERNATIONAL FLORA/ THE MONTREAL GARDEN FESTIVAL - a spectacular
showcase of the fine art of gardening - from June 29 to September 3, at the
Lock Gardens on the Quays of the Old Port of Montreal at the foot of McGill
