International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Announces Shopping Centre Awards at the Canadian Convention

TORONTO, Sept. 26 /CNW/ - The International Council of Shopping Centers
(ICSC) presented The 2007 Canadian Shopping Centre Awards this evening as part
of their annual Canadian Convention, Deal Making and Trade Exposition.
The 2007 Maple Leaf and Merit Award winners were announced and honoured
for their achievements at a special event held at the Metro Toronto Convention
Centre. Established in 1984, the awards recognize the hard work,
accomplishment and excellence in the Canadian Shopping Centre Industry.
Eighteen Maple Leaf awards were presented for first place in a given category,
as well as 27 Merit awards.
Candidates were judged by shopping centre marketing professionals as well
as individuals who are connected to the shopping centre industry: judges were
chosen by the ICSC Canadian Shopping Centre Awards Committee. This year, 96
entries were received for judging in three different awards categories:
Marketing, Renovation or Expansion of an Existing Centre, and Retail Store
Design. Winners were designated in each of the categories based on the size of
the centre.
