InterChange Public Affairs welcomes Owen Lippert



    OTTAWA, May 19 /CNW Telbec/ - InterChange Public Affairs is pleased to
welcome Mr. Owen Lippert to their growing team as an Associate. Mr. Lippert's
wide-ranging experience, both Canadian and international, strengthens
InterChange's capacity to deliver strategic advice and communications counsel
to clients.
    With years of experience in both the British Columbia and federal
governments, Mr. Lippert served most recently in Ottawa as senior policy
advisor to Canada's Minister of International Cooperation and, earlier, as
advisor to then-Leader of the Opposition, Stephen Harper. Other past positions
include Director of the Law and Markets Project at the Fraser Institute;
Visiting Fellow at the Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo in Chile; and Resident
Director of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs in
Bangladesh.

tremendous asset to us and to our clients. His ability to provide strategic
advice and his strong analytical and communication skills will add value and

    Mr. Lippert holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Modern European History from the
University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College in
Northfield, Minnesota. He has taught History at both Carleton University and
the University of British Columbia and published extensively on a variety of
topics.
