In the Matter of Michael Comeau and Victoria Jenset - Set Date



    TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - Notice is hereby given that an appearance will
be held before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory
Organization of Canada (IIROC), on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at 121 King Street
West, Suite 1600, Toronto, Ontario, at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the
appearance can be held, to set the date for a disciplinary hearing in the
matter of Michael Comeau and Victoria Jenset (the "Respondents").
    The proposed hearing concerns matters for which the Respondents may be
disciplined as a Regulated Persons of IIROC, pursuant to Part 10 of IIROC
Dealer Member Rule 20.
    The hearing concerns allegations that the Respondents:

    
    (a) In or about December 2004 to April 2005 Comeau, as a Registered
        Representative of a Member of IIROC, engaged in business conduct or
        practice which is unbecoming or detrimental to the public interest in
        that he placed himself in a conflict of interest when he became a
        registered shareholder of securities, of an issuer, transferred to
        him by his client for no apparent consideration and then sold
        securities of the same issuer held by the same client to several of
        his other clients, contrary to IIROC Rule 29.1; and

    (b) In or about December 2004 to May 2005 Jenset, as a Registered
        Representative of a Member of IIROC, engaged in business conduct or
        practice which is unbecoming or detrimental to the public interest in
        that she became a registered shareholder of securities of an issuer
        transferred to her by a client at her firm for no apparent
        consideration, and subsequently permitted a non-registrant to perform
        all fundamental "know your client" obligations for approximately four
        clients for whom she purchased securities of the same issuer,
        contrary to IIROC Rule 29.1.
    

    IIROC formally initiated the investigation into the Respondent's conduct
on January 23, 2006. It is alleged that the violations occurred when the
Respondents were Registered Representatives with the Secutor Capital
Management Corp. branch of Toronto office. Michael Comeau and Victoria Jenset
are currently registrants with, Secutor Capital Management Corp. and
Wellington West Capital Inc., respectively, IIROC regulated firms.
    The hearing is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders
