TORONTO, April 24 /CNW/ - Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be
held before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization
of Canada (IIROC), on Friday May 1, 2009 at IIROC, Boardroom 2, 121 King
Street West, 16th Floor Toronto, (Ontario) at 10:00 am or as soon thereafter
as the hearing can be held, to hear an interlocutory motion in the matter of
George Benarroch, Linda Kent, Marjorie Ann Glover and Credifinance Securities
Limited (the "Respondents").
The interlocutory motion is brought by the Respondents for orders:
(a) extending the time for the filing of a Response by the Respondents;
(b) striking certain portions of the Notice of Hearing.
The proposed hearing concerns matters for which the Respondents, or some
of them, may be disciplined as Regulated Persons of IIROC, pursuant to Part 10
of IIROC Dealer Member Rule 20.
The IDA formally initiated the investigation into the Respondents'
conduct on November 14 2006. It is alleged that the violations occurred when
the Respondents were Registered Representatives with the Toronto Branch of
Credifinance Securities Limited, and the firm was a Member Firm. George
Benarroch and Linda Kent are no longer registrants with an IIROC regulated
firm, Credifinance Securities Limited is currently suspended from membership
and Marjorie Ann Glover is still within the industry.
The hearing is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders
otherwise. The Hearing Panel's decision and reasons will be made available to
