MONTREAL, April 21 /CNW Telbec/ - The IMAX(R) TELUS Theatre of the
Montréal Science Centre proudly announces that it will be screening the film
U2 3D, in answer to popular demand, starting April 28.
U2 3D, an award winner!
U2 3D produced by 3ality Digital and released by National Geographic in
2008 to giant-screen 3-D and digital 3-D cinemas, won for Best Film Produced
Non Exclusively for Giant Screen Theatres. U2 3D also won the award for best
poster art. "We're deeply appreciative to be honored by the GSCA (Giant Screen
Cinema Associations) and giant-screen theatres worldwide." said Mark Katz,
president, distribution, National Geographic Cinema Ventures.
U2 3D is the first live-action film shot completely in digital 3-D. Shot
in South America during the final leg of the band's "Vertigo" tour, U2 3D
creates an immersive theatrical experience unlike any 3-D or concert film
before. Ushering in a new dimension of filmmaking, U2 3D takes viewers on an
extraordinary cinematic journey they will never forget.
"U2 was the perfect subject for this innovative, immersive concert
experience." said Sandy Climan, CEO of 3ality Digital
