MONTREAL, July 17 /CNW Telbec/ - On the evening of July 20, Just For
Laughs invites Montrealers to experience the Grand Charivarir ... Folly on the
flipside of winter! presented in collaboration with Rio Tinto Alcan. This
fantastic urban carnival bathed in white will kick off at 8:40 p.m., at the
corner of St. Laurent Boulevard and Sherbrooke Street West. The parade will
take a right turn onto Parc Avenue and head up to the Sir George-Etienne
Cartier monument at the foot of Mount Royal (the gathering place of the
Montreal's tam tams). To accommodate the Festival parade, some streets will be
closed in the area, and there will be no parking on others.

Access to health care institutions
Access to certain health care institutions located in the vicinity of the
parade route may be reduced on Sunday, July 20 between 6 pm and midnight.
Measures have been taken to minimize any inconvenience.
The Agence de santé de Montréal recommends that:
- you contact the relevant health care institution before leaving;
- you call Info-Santé at 8-1-1 before arriving at the emergency room of
one of these institutions
- you call 9-1-1 if your situation is urgent.

The STM is contributing to this important evening by offering free metro
transportation to festival-goers wearing a mask that can be found in the
Friday, July 18 edition of La Presse.
We strongly recommend that Carnival-goers take the metro to this event.
