CALGARY, Jan. 21, 2016 /CNW/ - The Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta (IPPSA) invites media to attend a luncheon it is hosting at the Westin Calgary at 12:00 pm, Monday, January 25 featuring EDC Associates Ltd and its assessment of the province's Climate Leadership Plan on Alberta's electricity market.

EDC's assessment forecasts the amount of emissions reduction expected from the electricity industry in the plan.   It will also forecast the amount of renewable generation required to achieve the plan's goals and the amount of gas generation required to backstop that renewable supply and meet growth, as well as the outcome of the plan on Alberta's power prices.
