IKEA to open new store in Winnipeg
BURLINGTON, ON, May 29 /CNW/ - IKEA Canada announced today that they have
now received the necessary site plan approval for the new IKEA store at
Kenaston Boulevard and Sterling Lyon Parkway in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Following
the completion of the approved infrastructure changes, construction on the
IKEA store will begin. The store will be open sometime between late 2011 and
2013, taking roughly 18 months to build. The IKEA store, approximately 350,000
sq ft, will serve as an anchor in a retail development of up to 1,500,000 sq
ft in which IKEA will also be a development partner.
