IESO Releases Results from Earth Hour

TORONTO, March 29 /CNW/ - The Independent Electricity System Operator
(IESO) tonight reported that Ontario demand was reduced by approximately five
per cent or 900 megawatts (MW) as a result of the Earth Hour initiatives.
"Conservation measures benefit consumers, the environment and the
electricity infrastructure. I hope that Earth Hour has raised the awareness of
our daily electricity usage and will encourage residential and business
consumers alike to use electricity wisely year round," said Ken Kozlik, IESO
Chief Operating Officer.

The IESO is responsible for managing Ontario's bulk electricity power
system and operating the wholesale market. For more information, please visit
