Deadline is less than one month away
TORONTO, Feb. 5 /CNW/ - The Toronto chapter of the International
Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Toronto) invites all
communications professionals to submit their finest work in response to its
2009 OVATION Awards call for entries. Industry peers are gearing up to
recognize excellence in communications in many categories, including internal
communications, marketing communications, special event management,
IABC/Toronto's MAVERICK PR Student of the Award and many more. Some new
categories for 2009 are: customer relations, brand communication, social
responsibility and social media. The chapter is also offering a special
not-for-profit entry rate for the first time.
OVATION Awards are open to all communicators, including members and
non-members of IABC/Toronto, at all levels of the profession, from entry to
veteran practitioners. The Awards honour best practices in many disciplines
including: strategists, managers, and independent practitioners; corporate,
public sector and not-for-profit communicators; agency executives;
internet/social media strategists; photographers; graphic artists; creative
conceptualists; and tacticians.
"Winning an OVATION Award not only strengthens my relationships with my
current clients, it can be a considerable asset when pitching new business,"
says Diana Robinson, President, Diana Robinson & Associates.
All submissions are confidential and reviewed by a panel of senior level
communication professionals. Judges evaluate each submission based on the
information supplied and score it on a standardized point system using set
criteria. Winning entries are those that exceed set point levels.

website at http://toronto.iabc.com/awards/ovation/. The final deadline for
