Offers five models for under $20,000
MARKHAM, ON, March 3 /CNW/ - In celebration of 25 years of selling cars
in Canada, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. is slashing the cash purchase price on
the 2008 Sonata by $5,150 beginning March 1, 2008. This special promotional
price of $18,995 builds on the success of the recently announced 25th
Anniversary Accent in Quebec, where small car sales dominate.
"We wanted to provide customers outside of Quebec a specially priced
Hyundai vehicle that would be on the scale of price reductions announced
earlier for the Accent in Quebec," said John Vernile, vice president, sales
and marketing, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. "We decided to extend the price
reduction to the award winning Sonata that competes in one of the largest car
segments outside of Quebec."
In addition to the specially priced Sonata, Hyundai has reduced the cash
purchase price on other models. Under the Blue Ribbon Sales Event, starting
March 1st, 2008, Hyundai will offer savings of $3,000 on all trim levels of
the sporty 2008 Tiburon now starting at $15,995, and savings of $4,200 on the
compact utility vehicle Tucson L now starting at $16,995.
"When you include the Accent and Elantra, Hyundai now offers five
vehicles below $20,000," continued Vernile. "This represents the majority of
our lineup. We are definitely the brand to think about."
Hyundai Auto Canada, established in 1983 and headquartered in Markham
Ontario, is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of Korea. Hyundai vehicles
