BOSTON, April 3 /CNW/ - Hyperwave has been named part of the committee of
the European Union (EU) to work on the definition and advancement of the
"Requirements for the Management of Electronic Documents and Records" (MoReq)
standard for electronic document management. Hyperwave is also a member of the
"Cornwell Vendor Panel for the MoReq2 project in 2007" (http://www.moreq2.eu).
In order to preserve MoReq's strong acceptance in European eGovernment, it is
to be updated and advanced around new standards and lessons learned from
best-practice eGovernment projects of the last years. Having delivered a
significant number of successful eGovernment projects, Hyperwave has the
recognized expertise to contribute substantially to the future success of
MoReq2. As a result, Hyperwave has committed that all its products and
solutions will conform to the future EU Moreq2 standard.
MoReq is the European standard for electronic records management. MoReq
was established as the standard setting basis for electronic document-,
archive- and records management for public and private sector organisations
wanting or needing to adhere to European EDRMS functionalities in their
development and/or use of appropriate solutions.
Participation in the MoReq Committee is a continuation of Hyperwave's
investment and dedication to being a worldwide EDRMS solution provider, and
the next step in advancing its current TNA and DoD 5015.2 (Ch 2 and 4)
compliant product line.
Background Information on MoReq2
On basis of a requirements document of the DLM forum, the European Union
went to tender in 2006 for the MoReq2 project. MoReq2 is not only there to
deliver new functionalities to the standard, but also deals with the ability
to proof functionality of and certification of MoReq2 compliant software
products. The main improvements in MoReq2 will be the creation of a more
flexible structure, the ability to represent national characteristics,
extensions of the base module's functionalities, the creation of new desirable
modules and the development of a MoReq certification process and test. The
consortium, which Hyperwave is a part of, around Cornwell Management starts
its work in February 2007 and is to be finished by the end of 2007. MoReq2 is
to be first launched in English in 2008. Due to its new functionalities and
the ability of obtaining certification, MoReq2 is set to become the European
standard, in effect replacing current national standards inside different
