MONTREAL, Feb. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Hydro-Québec will be partnering over the
next five years with the Musée de la civilisation in Québec City to create a
new space called the "Discovery Zone".
The addition of three hands-on rooms and a multi-purpose workshop
reaffirms the museum's educational mission, a goal that means a lot to
Hydro-Québec. Creation of the "Discovery Zone" means that school groups and
families - accounting for 35% of the Museum's clientele - will be able to
enjoy new learning facilities specially tailored to their needs.
Hydro-Québec has been a partner of the Musée de la civilisation since its
inception. Today, the Museum is not only a cultural success story in Québec,
but has become one of Canada's most popular museums.
For several decades now, Hydro-Québec has been committed to promoting the
development, outreach and reputation of Québec's cultural heritage so it can
be shared by all Quebecers. Each year, the company sponsors more than
300 cultural organizations throughout the province.
