Acura MDX and RDX Break All-time Sales Records;
Honda Ridgeline Sets Monthly Sales Record
TORONTO, Dec. 3 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. reported November sales of
13,676 units by its Honda and Acura divisions. The combined Honda and Acura
division sales were down 2.7 per cent over last year. Honda automobile
division reported November sales of 11,464 units, off 6.4 per cent from a
record sales month last November. Acura division posted a 22.9 per cent
increase with sales of 2,212 units.
Achieving all-time record sales were two Acura products. The MDX luxury
sport-utility vehicle sold 880 units compared to the previous monthly record
of 592 units and was up 65 per cent over last year. The Acura RDX luxury
crossover utility vehicle sold 481 units compared to the previous monthly
record last year of 303 units. Reporting record November sales was the Honda
Ridgeline half-ton pickup truck with 511 units compared to the previous
monthly record last year of 434 units.
The new 2008 Honda Accord sedan and coupe continued strong sales results
in November with 2,117 units, up 70 per cent over last year.

annually. Honda Canada manufactures the Honda Ridgeline and Civic, and the

Alliston, with the capacity to produce up to 200,000 fuel-efficient 4-cylinder
engines annually, is scheduled to open in 2008.
