Home Hardware Hits Another Home Run

Announces Official Sponsorship of Team Canada

TORONTO, Feb. 27 /CNW/ - Home Hardware Stores Limited announced today a
dynamic new sponsorship with Team Canada, Canada's national baseball team.
Home Hardware is currently the official home improvement retailer of Canada's
only Major League Baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays.
As part of the Team Canada sponsorship, the Home Hardware logo will
appear on the official on-field uniform sleeve of Team Canada's home and road
jerseys during the World Baseball Classic. The World Baseball Classic is an
international competition that features the best players in the world
competing for their home countries. The tournament runs from March 5th to
March 23rd. Team Canada, USA, Venezuela and Italy will compete in the first
round at Rogers Centre in Toronto beginning Saturday March 7th.
"Home Hardware Stores Limited continues to hit home runs as the official
home improvement retailer of the Toronto Blue Jays and it only seemed natural
to extend that sponsorship to Team Canada," said Rob Wallace, Public Relations
& Promotional Events Manager, Home Hardware Stores Limited. "With more than
1,000 Home Owners helping homeowners in communities large and small across
Canada, Home Hardware truly is Canadian in scope. We are thrilled to support
the efforts of our country's national team."
"Like Home Hardware, the players of Team Canada represent true Canadian
success stories. We're proud to have Home Hardware onboard as our official
partner. We know their dealers and staff from coast to coast will be cheering
on our National Team," said Ernie Whitt, Team Canada Manager.
The Team Canada Jerseys will be unveiled in Dunedin, Florida on Saturday,
February 28th during a pre-game presentation prior to the Atlanta
Braves-Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training game.
