Holiday advice to travellers

TORONTO, Dec. 20 /CNW/ - The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is
preparing for a busy weekend at Toronto Pearson. Passenger traffic will be
higher than usual this weekend leading into the Christmas holidays.
Passenger volume for both Friday, December 21st and Saturday,
December 22nd is projected to be around 100,000 people per day. An average day
at Toronto Pearson sees about 85,000 passengers.
Passengers are advised to confirm that their flight status before
travelling to the airport through their airlines directly or visiting
www.gtaa.com.
The GTAA urges passengers to be aware of restrictions on liquids, gels
and aerosols when packing their carry on luggage. These items must be packed
in 100 ml containers and fit into one clear and resealable plastic bag. A
single 1 litre bag is permitted per passenger. For more information on how to
pack smart, please visit the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority's
website at http://www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca
When packing gifts in carry-on luggage, passengers are reminded that the
gifts should remain unwrapped as the contents may need to be inspected at the
security check points.

The following services are in place at Toronto Pearson to help with the
travel experience:

    - Valet Parking at Terminal 1, departures level
    - Airport Customers Assistance Program for passengers with disabilities
    - GTAA Reduced Rate Parking Area - 6135 Airport Road
    - The Airport LINK - free transportation between Terminal 1, Terminal 3
and the Reduced Rate Parking Area

The GTAA is the non-share authority that operates Toronto Pearson. All
revenue generated by the GTAA is reinvested back into the airport. In 2006,
31 million passengers travelled through Toronto Pearson.
